Massaging your infant is an age-old tradition that encourages loving touch and bonding between infant and parent.  Infant massage has many benefits including:

 About the Parent Classes
 
 
As a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), I teach classes in a series of sessions.  Classes meet weekly for four weeks. 
 
Infant Massage can be learned by anyone interested in having a loving relationship with their baby.  Classes are designed for you with your baby starting at birth.
 
Our hands-on method insures that you will learn the art of interactive massage to suit your baby's individual schedule, needs and developmental level.
 
Our course consists of 3 weekly sessions 1-1/2 hours in length.  It includes:
 
  • The theory and practice of infant  massage
  • Teaching baby to relax
  • Discussion of family bonding
  • How to vary the massage as your child grows
  • How to deal with special problems such as colic and intestional difficulties
  • The opportunity to discuss additional parenting concerns with other new parents

 

A relaxed atmosphere is maintained in which a parent can feel free to take care of the infant's needs without missing important techniques or information.

Classes are currently being offered in May, July, September and November.  Please contact us to register.

 

Class Fees

Total investment for a 3 week session:  $50 plus a non-refundable $10 registration fee
